Jeff's Take on the
Markets...

Welcome to Jeff Manera's Powerhouse Options, the High-Powered Options Trading Service with Market-Beating Returns, a Long-Term Track Record and Global Reach.

We aren't just another flash-in-the-pan trading service. We've been at this since 2004, and unlike most other trading services, all our trades are documented in the track record (the "Closed Trades" link on the home page) . And, unlike other trading services that focus on one small aspect of investing, we use the full arsenal of options strategies available to ferret out the highest probability and lowest risk trades.

Look through our long-term track record and you will see we have been averaging over 80% annually for subscribers since we launched the service in 2004 - that's better than over 95% + of all the high-paid mutual fund managers and hedge funds out there - and we're only going to get better! In fact once the numbers are all in for the home runs our subscribers are now scoring with the 2009 trades (you can see some of these in the recent sample issues), you can expect that average to go up substantially.

We often advise simple calls and puts because sometimes the simplest strategy is the best (in fact, most of our big % winners in 2009, open and closed positions, have been simple call positions - see the sample issues or Open Trades tab/table if you're logged in). A good number of options traders just don't want to mess with the more involved trades.

But of course we also recommend a good number of advanced options strategies, especially "strangles" and "vertical spreads," for those traders who want to trade those.

In the track record , as well as a good number of simple long call and put trades, you'll see we use the full gamut of options strategies; vertical credit and debit spreads, iron condors, condors, butterfly spreads, calendar/horizontal spreads and diagonal spreads.

You see, different strategies work best in different situations - and you have to fully understand the dynamic relationships between all the option "Greeks," volatility and the market as a whole - it takes somebody with the savvy, experience and instincts to know when and exactly how to use which strategy. That's exactly what we do for you at PowerHouse Options.

And please note the many "FNCR" profits listed - those are "credit" positions - one of the highest probability trading tactics - which closed at their absolute maximum profitability. Similar with "MNCR"positions.

I've listed a few examples of the winners in the table to the right (skim through the track for a more complete history). I'm not showing you this to cherry-pick although it may look like that (of course we've had a fair number of losers as well). It's to illustrate how one winning options trade can return well over 100% in profits, and can make up for several losers.

Heck you'll see a bunch of 200% +, 300% +, 400% + and even larger % winners in there! And in 2009 we've already locked in some big winners and have a slew of triple digit open profit positions ready to harvest at any time (see the sample issues for the actual profit instructions given to subscribers on these positions in recent alerts). And right now, we're fine-tuning the next batch of trades.

We not only provide you with specific, frequent high-probability options trades, we also educate you. On top of the detailed special reports we give you, subscriber's also have full access to the detailed 47-page options trading and strategy manual, as well as the "Strategy Corner" section of the website where you'll find detailed profit and loss illustrations and descriptions of the major options strategies - so you know exactly what's happening with each and every trade. We also give you specific guidelines to apply to all your trades - when to take profits, when to place protective stops, and how to structure your exits to improve standard closing orders.

We won't claim to make you filthy rich overnight...or to turn $10,000 into $millions in six months or a year...or turn $1000 into $100,000 in 42 days...or similar fantastic claims some competitors promise...

I'm sure you've seen claims like the above. Beware! Those types of claims are pure fantasy, all nonsense and hype. And the hypsters know it darn well - they know they won't deliver anywhere near those kind of returns (it's much more likely they will lose you money). But they just want to get your information, to sell to others and blast you with spam. My advice is to run screaming in the other direction when you run into that kind of crazy hype or somebody trying to sell you an investment advisory/trading service with no track record. You'll have far better odds in Vegas!

PowerHouse Options is different. We have a rock-solid, documented five-year long track record for all to see. Well we refuse to play that short-term hype game. We intend to earn your trust and keep you as a subscriber for a very long time! PowerHouse Options is one of the few trading services you'll find with a long-term market-beating track record.

Are our trades all winners? Of course not! You'll see that there have been some periods when our timing was off. For example, we called the big late 2007-2008 market sell-off somewhat "early" and made some bets that didn't work out as the market continued to rise during that period despite all logic. We've certainly had some losing trades, but that should give you comfort - we don't "cherry-pick" our winners and hide our losers to distort our track record, as most of the hypesters out there do with their wild and unrealistic profit claims. Again, the entire track record of every closed trade since PowerHouse Option's inception in 2004 is visible to all.

So, how do we do it?
Hard work, non-stop research and time-honed instincts. Let me tell you: There is no magic in the markets, no secret formula, no short-cuts to success...

How it works: At PowerHouse Options we don't follow a set publication schedule. When it's time to act, we send you out a trading alert or update email, giving you explicit word-for-word instructions and the no-nonsense reason we're advising the trade. But this doesn't mean you have to be glued to your PC all day - most trades are good for a window of time after we send you an alert. You can even receive alerts and updates on your cell phone or PDA (details in the Welcome Letter, under the Members tab).

Bottom line: Our commitment is to you, our subscriber, protecting your capital and making you money. And we never forget it.

Here's an update table on our Obama and other "new era" trades:

*Current prices and PL are based on approximate inside trade (midpoint bid/ask).

As you can see, we're scoring nicely on most of these positions, with EnerNOC, General Cable, A-Power and Nissan the current stars of the show, with crazy triple digit gains each.

Our two current spreads are also flying high.  Our Wal-Mart vertical credit put spread could be bought back for measly 10 cents here, vs. the 1.10 ($110 per spread contract) we took in when we "sold" it to open the position, a nice gain.  Dendreon is doing even better, as the shares retained much of their rocket-blast rally following the positive clinical trial data I told you to expect.  We could buy back the vertical credit put spread we sold for 2.95 for about 85 cents now.  Nice!   There are different ways to calculate the profits on credit positions, but however you dice it, we're up strongly in these two.

And we're down modestly on our generic drug play on Teva Pharma. Sit tight on that for now - I'm pondering whether or not to roll that forward before its June expiration.

And we're still watching the top side (call) half of our dual Google positions closely. The put side is at full profitability - you can close it out for a nickel if you want to bank the gains, but I don't see the need to waste a commission...

Elsewhere in the PowerHouse portfolio, Foster Wheeler and the Natural gas ETF UNG are still in the doghouse. The others are faring quite well and are much more than making up for those laggards.

Please note the Raser Tech and American Superconductor symbols have changed since they are no longer considered LEAP options. They're the same options and profit/loss for you, just different symbols.

For new subscribers: It's probably too late to chase the gains in the winners, and I'm not sure the weak performers are giving us the right signals right now. Sit tight for the next round of new trades, coming soon. Raser is still worthwhile, but not the June options -- too close to expiration. I will likely be rolling that into another expiration soon.

Stay tuned for the next round of trades!

Best wishes,

Jeff Manera
